Sharon Malcolm has been a member of NC4 since 1981. In 1999, she responded to a missions call and went to serve in Guatemala for 7 years, moving to Peru in 2006, where she is currently serving. Sharon works tirelessly in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, conducting bible and discipleship training in conjunction with practical community development work. Her current focus is along two jungle rivers where she and her local team join with teams from the States to help improve the quality of life for the villagers by building water purification systems that help increase life expectancy by 20 YEARS, externally vented stoves in huts, teaching more effective farming techniques, and providing immunizations and de-worming medicines for children. These projects meet some very real physical needs and are the pathway for evangelism and discipleship to the indigenous people, many of whom have never heard the gospel, creating an environment for total community transformation.
