What To Expect

NC4 is a diverse community of imperfect people rescued by God’s grace, encouraging each other as we learn from Jesus and participate with his Holy Spirit in his conspiracy of love.

  • Our Mission & Vision

    Our Mission

Multiply mature disciples of Jesus Christ by cultivating communities of kingdom collaboration.

    Vision 2030

Four localized communities in the Greater Lehigh Valley training over 1500 diverse disciples to be kingdom entrepreneurs actively subverting evil with good.

Everything we do flows from three core commitments:

    • Drinking deeply from God’s Word 📖
    • Experiencing the Holy Spirit’s transforming presence in worship 🙌
    • Apprenticing ourselves to Jesus through bold, sacrificial faith ✝️
  • What can I expect on a Sunday?

We gather for roughly 90 minutes on Sundays to worship together through song, learn from Scripture, encourage and pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Holy Spirit.

Everyone is welcome. We are a growingly diverse community with multiple cultures and stages of life represented.

Our atmosphere is down-to-earth. Our music is contemporary. Our teaching is thought-provoking.

  • What should I wear?

NC4 started in the living rooms of homes throughout the Lehigh Valley. You’ll notice that casual, more relaxed atmosphere is still a part of our culture. You’ll see some who like to get more dressed up and others who don’t. Wear what’s comfortable for you, and you’ll fit right in.

  • What about my kids?

All ages find belonging and participate at NC4.

During the first part of the service, kids participate in worship with their families and are welcome to dance, sing, clap, and be themselves.

During the sermon, we offer a Sunday school program for ages 6 months through Middle School that is designed to help them own their faith.

High Schoolers have a Breakfast Club program every 4th Sunday of the month, but otherwise remain in the sermon.

Children are checked in for Sunday school using an electronic system and protected by rigorous security protocols.

  • How we express ourselves

Our time begins with singing together in worship, led by our live music team who help us connect with God through beauty, praise, and song. Everyone expresses their love for God in unique ways—some raise their hands, some dance, and others worship quietly.

We believe the Holy Spirit speaks through his people to encourage, comfort, and build up others (1 Cor 14). Our meeting leaders intentionally make room for Him in our services by allowing individuals to address the congregation when appropriate.

  • What to expect: Prayer

Prayer is an important part of our time together. Every week we set aside time to thank God and pray for specific concerns personally, locally, and globally.

  • What to expect: Teaching

We believe that the Bible is the living word of God – capable of speaking to us in our circumstances today. Every week we have a roughly 40-minute teaching from the Bible meant to cultivate mind, heart, imagination, and action and help us mature no matter our spiritual background.

Our Ethos

The character of NC4 is expressed in the acronym M.A.T.U.R.E.

M
Missional Collaborators

We believe every Christian is on mission with God. All of us are in the game collaborating with the Holy Spirit in His conspiracy to overturn evil with good by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

A
Authentically Joyful

We believe that true spirituality is both real and fun, so we don't take ourselves too seriously. We're honest about our imperfections. Yet we live with a bold, cheerful joy rooted in the resurrection that carries us through both suffering and struggle with hope.

T
Tethered to the Word

We order our faith and life around Scripture as the authoritative guide to knowing and following Jesus Christ.

U
Unitive in Essentials

Our community is united around the essentials of the historic Christian faith, while embracing a generous outlook on secondary issues. We're partnered with the broader body of Christ, not isolated from it.

R
Relational First

The church is God's household. We operate like an extended family where mentorship, care, and mutual growth are central. We ask ourselves: how would family treat each other? And we lead from there.

E
Eucharismatic Renewalists

We believe in the importance of Spirit and Sacrament, honoring the treasures of Christian history while actively seeking the Holy Spirit's renewal and the expression of His gifts today.

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

  • The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ — His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death through His shed blood, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father, and personal return in power and glory.

  • Salvation

We believe salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

  • The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells believers and enables them to live a godly life.

  • The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost — the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal separation from God.

  • The Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Historic Faith & Charismatic Gifts

We are a “reformed charismatic” church, meaning we are firmly rooted in the principles of the broader Reformation (such as the Early Creeds and the Five Solas) and obediently encourage the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit.
