NC4’s Discipleship Pathway is a four-stage curriculum of spiritual formation, outlining the recommended events, ministries, and opportunities we offer to help you mature at each stage.

Discipleship is not a course to complete; it is an organic, lifelong process that is unique to each person. These are simply time-proven steps that actively encourage growth.

The Lifeboat Incubator is our in-house version of a missionary shark tank. What we want to develop are small, replicable, sustainable ways to build connections with unchurched people within their world, not just trying to bring them into our world. We call these ideas Lifeboats.

If you think of NC4 as the mothership — large, stable, and built around our needs— think of these ideas as little lifeboats launching out to seek and save the ones drowning at sea. And the place where we meet them is in shared interests and needs.

A successful lifeboat is a way to enter into the community and learn people’s names and get to know their stories. Once we learn their names, we begin praying for them. Once we know their stories, we have relationship. And relationship is the soil where the gospel can take root.
