We’re starting Unit 21 EARLY RESPONSES TO JESUS this coming Sunday.
Our memory verse for this unit is: “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)

Last week (June 25, 2023) we finished Unit 20 Session 3 and learned that GOD LOVES ALL PEOPLE by reading 1 Corinthians 13.
- KEY PASSAGE: “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV)
- BIG PICTURE QUESTION: How do we know God loves us? We can know that God loves us because He gave us Jesus to forgive the sins of the world.
- CHRIST CONNECTION: Jesus offers something better than physical water; He gives us Himself. Jesus gives the Holy Spirit to everyone who comes to Him by faith. We can worship Him as Lord and Savior wherever we are.
This week (July 2, 2023) we begin Unit 21 and will learn that PEOPLE REJECTED JESUS by reading Luke 4.
- KEY PASSAGE: Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
- BIG PICTURE QUESTION: How can we be saved? We are only saved through faith in Jesus.
- CHRIST CONNECTION: Jesus read Isaiah’s words and announced that He is the promised Messiah. The people of Nazareth rejected Jesus because of their unbelief. God invites us to trust in His Son, Jesus. Jesus came into the world to rescue sinners.
