What is Family Promise?

Family Promise is a national organization with a local chapter serving homeless families in the Lehigh Valley since 2016. NC4 has partnered with them since December 2018, providing housing and resources to help families get back on their feet. Local churches and organizations rotate hosting families, and NC4 Macungie serves as a host site each quarter.

Volunteers can participate in many ways:

• help set up living quarters on the first Sunday of a host week
• shop for breakfast and lunch items
• host by spending time with guests
• cook meals to drop off
• stay overnight to provide security and support
• tear down living areas the following Sunday
• or do laundry of sheets, blankets, and towels.
